APPROVAL OF CONTRACTS WITH ALL FOUR (4) RANKED FIRMS FOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES, STRUCTURAL ENGINEEING PLAN REVIEW AND THRESHOLD BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES FOR A THREE (3)-YEAR PERIOD
Description
The scope shall include structural engineering services, structural engineering plan review and threshold inspection services for Sarasota County Schools for a period of three (3) years. The Director of Construction Services and one (1) member of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) met with representatives of [1] Hees & Associates, Inc., [2] TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc., [3] Wilson Structural Consultants, Inc. and [4] Biller Reinhart Engineering Group, Inc., and successfully negotiated individual contracts. These contracts have been approved by the School Board attorney and are available for review at the Construction Services Department. The estimated cost for these services for the three (3)-year period is $150,000.00. Funds are available for these services through individual project accounts.
Recommendation
That the contracts with all four (4) ranked firms for Structural Engineering Services, Structural Engineering Plan Review and Threshold Building Inspection Services for a three (3)-year period be approved as presented.
